Join us for a live demonstration from Whitney Naomi in the Art Studio on December 7.
We’re honored to be celebrating 20 years of partnership with Nashville’s famous Bluebird Cafe this year at Sundance Mountain Resort. The Bluebird has long been a monument of country music, perhaps most famously known as the place where artists like Garth Brooks, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, and Taylor Swift got their start.
Not just a spotlight for up-and-comers, the Bluebird continues to host the heroes behind the hits you love. Lucky for us, the folks at the Bluebird Cafe have been exclusively sharing some of their best talent with Sundance for two decades.
Every year, we have the distinct privilege of hosting Bluebird artists for 4-5 runs of shows at our Outdoor Amphitheater on the mountain. Three artists come out to play two nights of Bluebird shows, sharing the stories behind beloved country classics. These songwriters have written hits for artists like Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and many more!
Learn why your favorite songs were written, what artists were experiencing at the time, and how the songs came to be. You’ll hear renditions that sound a lot like the radio versions you know, but because we ask songwriters to perform their songs’ original compositions, you’ll also get to hear slightly different melodies or lyrics. One of the best parts of a Bluebird show is being moved by a song you love in a new and meaningful way.
Tickets for our Bluebird Cafe Concert Series always sell out quickly. In fact, this year we even added an extra show over Labor Day weekend which already sold out!
Are you one of the lucky ones who snagged tickets before they were gone? Here’s what you can look forward to on Labor Day weekend:
Nestled beneath the shadow of majestic Mt. Timpanogos, the Sundance Outdoor Amphitheater is unlike any other Utah outdoor music venue experience. Guests can enjoy a BBQ dinner at the base of the mountain from 6-8 p.m. before taking a tractor ride up to the theater for the concert. We open the gates to the theater at 7 p.m, so you’ll want to arrive early to get a good seat if you have general admission lawn tickets!
Enjoying a meal on the mountain before the concert makes for a full and memorable evening with us at the resort. A BBQ dinner is offered before each show and available to purchase online or at Concession the night of the show if it is not already sold out. Other dining options at the resort include the Tree Room, Foundry Grill, The Lookout, and Sundance Deli. If you plan to dine in one of our on-site restaurants, we recommend an earlier meal and getting a reservation so you don’t miss your chance at an earlier entry to the theater when the gates open — especially if sitting on the lawn.
Guests sitting on the lawn are strongly encouraged to bring throw blankets. Regular height lawn chairs are not permitted, but guests on the lawn who would prefer a backrest can bring shorter seats such as beach chairs, as long as they do not exceed 24” in total height from the ground to the top of the chair back.
Whether you sit on the lawn or in a bench seat, eat a quick BBQ or deli dinner or choose finer dining before the show, there is truly not a more memorable and unique experience than the Bluebird Concert Series at Sundance. We’re very proud of and grateful for our long-standing partnership with the Bluebird Cafe, and we can’t wait for you to experience this incredible evening of stories and songs!
