Chad Linebaugh

A Utah native, Chad Linebaugh learned to ski at Sundance when he was seven years old. As he grew, so did his love for the resort. When the opportunity arose to work and ski for free at Sundance, Chad took it.

 

Chad started his Sundance career as a breakfast waiter in the Foundry Grill restaurant, where he was quickly promoted to lunch waiting, then dinner, then dinner captain in the Tree Room restaurant. In 1997, Chad became a Catering Sales Manager and, in 1999, a National Sales Manager at Sundance.

 

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University, Chad continued his climb to Associate Director of Sales. In 2002, Chad left Sundance for the position of Director of Sales for Wasatch Adventure Consultants, but his heart remained at Sundance so, in 2004, he returned as Sundance’s Director of Sales. When the Co-General Manager position was extended to Chad in 2006 he accepted, becoming the first general manager of the resort to work his way up from a line employee.

 

Chad has served on the Utah Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and was board member for Meeting Professionals International as Vice President of Communications. He was also an Advisory Board Member of Wasatch Adventure Consultants. Currently, Chad is on the board of Utah Valley University’s School of the Arts.

 

Chad remains passionate about the environmental initiatives practiced at the resort and feels a deep responsibility to help protect the area. Becoming the sole General Manager of Sundance Resort in March of 2009, Chad continues to actively take part in the frontline happenings of the resort, getting to know all the employees and ensuring that all guests’ needs are met. He is committed to helping guests find their own unique Sundance Experience so that they, too, can fall in love with this place in the mountains.
